Quiet Places is Buffy's second "rock" album, recorded in Nashville and co-produced by Norbert Putnam. It is the last album she recorded on the Vanguard label

As well as Buffy Sainte-Marie originals the album includes Mickey Newbury's "Why You Been Gone So Long," Joni Mitchell's "For Free," Randy Newman's "Have You Seen My Baby," and King-Goffin's "Eventually".
